I build websites for small businesses in New Jersey.

Somebody pulls out their phone and looks you up before they call. If there's nothing there, or it's from 2012, they call the next guy instead. That's a fixable problem and it doesn't cost much to fix.

How I work

Four things that tend to be different

From whoever quoted you last.

You get the price first

I tell you the number before I start and it doesn't move. No hourly billing, no awkward scope conversation three weeks in.

About a week, not three months

These are small sites. There's no reason they should drag on, and I build the front page first so you can see the real thing early.

Everything is in your name

Your domain goes on your account, not mine. Fire me tomorrow and you still have the site, the domain and the files. Plenty of web shops keep that stuff on their own accounts so you can't leave. I think that's a lousy way to run a business.

It works for everyone

Text you can actually read, keyboard navigation, labels for screen readers. Most small business sites fail badly on this, and people do get sued over it.

How it goes

Three steps, and the first one is free

  1. I build your front page

Before you've paid me anything. You get to look at a real page instead of a description of one.

  2. You decide

Like it, and it's half down to finish the rest. Don't, and you're out one phone call.

  3. It goes live

Usually inside a week, on your domain, with the balance due at launch.

Sample work

What a page looks like

Concept pages rather than client sites. I'm early on, and I'd rather show you something honest than borrow someone else's work.

Concept homepage for a plumbing company showing the business name, phone number, opening hours and customer rating
Plumbing, electrical, contracting
Concept homepage for a hair salon showing the business name, phone number, opening hours and customer rating
Salon, spa, barber
